Our Commitment to Privacy
DexCard is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. We believe your personal information should remain private and under your control. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.
Information We Do NOT Collect
DexCard does NOT collect, transmit, store, or have access to:
- Your business card images or data
- Your contact information
- Your device information
- Your usage patterns
- Any personal or business information
- Analytics or tracking data
We have no servers, databases, or cloud storage systems that contain your data.
Local Data Storage
All information processed by DexCard is stored exclusively on your iOS device using Apple's Core Data framework. This includes:
- Scanned business card images
- Extracted text information
- Your notes and edits
- App preferences
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it through iOS sharing features.
Camera Access
DexCard requests camera access solely to scan business cards. The camera is used only when you actively choose to scan a card. Images are processed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework for text recognition. No images are transmitted to external servers.
Contacts Access
DexCard may request access to your contacts to:
- Detect duplicate entries between your cards and contacts
- Allow you to manage duplicates
Contact information is only accessed locally on your device. No contact data is transmitted externally or stored outside of your device's secure storage.
Third-Party Services
DexCard does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The App operates entirely offline and does not make network requests for data collection purposes.
Data Security
Your data security is ensured through:
- Local storage using Apple's secure Core Data framework
- iOS built-in encryption and security features
- No network transmission of personal data
- App Store security review process
Your data is as secure as your iOS device itself.
Data Deletion
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete individual business cards within the App
- Delete the entire App to remove all data
- Use iOS Settings to manage App permissions
When you delete the App, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.
Children's Privacy
DexCard is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect any data, this is inherently protected.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect data, changes will primarily be clarifications or additions to our privacy protections.
