Steep is built with privacy at its core. Everything you add stays on your device — period.
What We Collect
Nothing. Steep does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. Your wish items, prices, notes, and images live exclusively on your device and in your private iCloud container if you choose to enable it in a future version.
Analytics & Tracking
Steep has no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We don't know who you are, what you add, or how you use the app.
Apple Sign In
Signing in with Apple is completely optional and only stores a stable identifier locally on your device. This identifier never leaves your device and is not sent to any server. It exists solely to prepare for an optional future iCloud sync feature.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Steep schedules them locally on your device using Apple's notification system. No notification content is ever sent to external servers.
Third-Party Links
When you add a product URL, Steep fetches the webpage to extract the title, price, and image. These requests go directly from your device to the website — Steep does not use intermediary servers.
Children's Privacy
Steep is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
